Uniquely Themselves

Children are so marvelously different! Under one roof I have a genius-galactic scientist, fashion diva artist and a train engineer-sword slinger! Wow! it amazes me! I stand in awe of their creator who made each one uniquely themselves!

Holy Father, I praise you for the uniqueness of each child that you allow to come into this world. They are truly fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)! You alone know every hair on their head because you knit them together in their mother's womb(Psalm 139:13). Lord, allow us to delight in the differences of our children and guide them to a better understanding of your purposes for their lives. We claim the promise that you know the plans you have for our children. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give a future and a hope.
(Jer 29:11) You alone know these plans and we put our faith in you. Help us to be good stewards of the precious lives you have entrusted to us! Amen

A Minor Procedure

Our baby had tubes put in his ears this morning and the doctor's said it was a simple, quick procedure with little to no risk involved. In all honesty, it couldn't been any easier. However, as I sit reflecting on the morning, I am overwhelmed with the knowledge that no matter how minor a procedure the Lord was there. The Lord of the universe cares! I am amazed and humbled! Lord, my praise is all for YOU!

Praise you Father for children's prayers
Praise you Lord for friends who care
Praise you Father for a doctors steady hand
Praise you Abba for our Little Man

And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he more surely care for you? You have so little faith!
Matthew 6:30
